Well, today is my first blog post - hurray! I feel very fortunate to be able to do what I do. The next best thing is where I'm doing it - the Columbia River Gorge is a beautiful place to work, live and play (notice I put "work" in there first - hah). Right now we are still covered in a lot of snow. Normally, we get a lot of snow up on Mt. Hood and melts in town in about 2 weeks. It's usually the only time I get to see my grass turn green! But I guess I will just have to wait...... patiently!
When I'm not snowboarding or cross-country skiing, I have plenty of time to think about what's new for Glacier Lily Jewelry this year. I am gearing up to cut some lovely deep blue labradorite stones. I started cutting some of my own stones about 3 years ago. It always amazes me to see the transformation of a rough stone into a shiny jewel! I will post a video and some photos when I start stone cutting.
First blog - done!
